In a working relationship with Strayer University in Sandy, Utah, New Links Networking Group and Professional Networking Group invite you to their weekly meetings . These Tuesday and Wednesday evening groups will meet from 7-8:30 PM at Strayer University, 9815 S. Monroe St., Ste. 200, Sandy, UT 84070. The meetings will introduce participants to each group’s no-cost program. The program includes Saturday workshops.
Who is Invited to Attend? The New Links Networking Group serves those who are working on or have ANY college degree or have made at least $20,000 in any one year or have volunteered with a service organization for at least one year. The Professional Networking Group includes those who have or nearly have a four year college degree or have made at least $40,000 in any one year. Their purpose is to provide solution-focused help for people wanting no-cost career assistance with employment or self-employment so that they become self-reliant for the rest of their lives. The goal is to add value to you who are involved in the program by:
- Helping you confirm or discover your interests, skills, traits and personality preferences by using web sites, books etc.
- Using positive words and accomplishments, building blocks to your interviewing skills, to communicate that you are the solution.
- Teaching you the steps of a successful career search using the “abundance mentality”, identifying and using your transferable skills, and creating your personal branding.
- Showing how to organize a networking campaign, get on the radar, do informational interviewing, do research, and make powerful impressions.
- Helping you to stay career self-reliant for life by learning when and how to negotiate, use a mentor, never stop networking, organize your networking campaigns and maintain contact information.
Tuesday and Wednesday meetings we’ll start with a speaker sharing valuable information, followed by time to network with fellow participants.
